Resilient

The thistle sometimes gets negative connotations when the flower is brought up in conversation or seen with the eyes; which is unfortunate. Yes, thistles are though, prickly and can have an invasive and sturdy root system. Thistles also can produce quite a lot of food and shelter for insects and birds.

These incredible plants may symbolize danger and also resilience. Thistles inspire hope to overcome difficulties and obstacles; stand brave and be protected. Sometimes, one should beware of this symbol because it could signify pain, or inconveniences, or intrusion; though. That being said, thistles could be used to ward off intrusion and protect from pain. Just like many areas in life, it's all about perspective.
