I had the pleasure of being invited to a local art gallery. This artwork will be showing and purchasable at the Limelight Gallery inside of Binders art supply in Buckhead, GA for the Cosmosis show curated by 404FoundATL. The opening of the show will be on Saturday, January 10th from 4pm to 8pm and will be on view to look and purchase from the 10th until January 31st. Below is the story I wrote for this piece.
The story behind this piece came to me after deciding I wanted to incorporate the vintage metal work into the artwork. I have been holding onto this metal piece for a few years, not knowing what magick to make with the piece. Then the idea hit me, a doorway. The show is called Cosmosis, to me I instantly thought of the vastness of the cosmos; that infinite space filled with infinite possibilities. Possibilities like a sentient, lonely doorway yearning for a visitor to one day enter into the unknown.
